Rules and activity exceptions

Pushkara requires Sunday, Tuesday or Saturday AND Dwitiya/Saptami/Dwadashi AND the named nakshatra. Tripushkara: Krittika, Punarvasu, Uttara Phalguni, Vishakha, Uttara Ashadha, Purva Bhadrapada. Dwipushkara: Mrigashira, Chitra, Dhanishtha. All three conditions must overlap.

Sarvartha and Amrita Siddhi use complete weekday–nakshatra tables. Tuesday–Ashwini, Thursday–Pushya and Saturday–Rohini retain the cited restrictions for marriage, travel and entering a new home. These yogas do not constitute a personal, activity-specific muhurta.

Amrita Kala and Varjyam scale their independent table offsets and duration to the actual nakshatra span; Mula has two Varjyam windows. Vijaya is daylight part 11 of 15. Godhuli here uses the named ±12-minute sunset convention; other conventions may differ.

Panchak is Moon longitude [300°, 360°): Dhanishtha padas 3–4 through Revati. Its type uses the weekday at the actual beginning, with the weekday changing at local sunrise: Sunday Roga, Monday Raja, Tuesday Agni, Friday Chora, Saturday Mrityu; Wednesday/Thursday remain unnamed in this profile.

Ravi Yoga: Moon nakshatra counted inclusively 4, 6, 9, 10, 13 or 20 from the Sun nakshatra (Indastro profile). Both bodies’ nakshatra transitions are checked. Its cited Sunday activity restriction remains; this is not an assurance that other restrictions disappear.

Approximate/provisional timings use predicted Earth rotation or a Delta-T model outside measured coverage. Uncertainty grows for distant centuries and can affect observance dates. Historical timezone offsets are reconstructed; future timezone rules may change.

Yamaganda and daytime Gulika divide the existing sunrise-to-sunset interval into eight equal parts. Their weekday slots follow the usual Panchang convention. These are general daily windows, not a personal Muhurta recommendation.

Daily Moonrise/Moonset and relevant Vrat Moonrise reuse the existing ritual disc-centre convention without refraction. See Moon & Sun for the reference instant and horizon assumptions.

Brahma Muhurta uses the fourteenth of fifteen equal parts of the preceding sunset-to-sunrise night. Pradosh retains Avyani’s first fifth of the night; Nishita is its central fifteenth. These are declared conventions, not a claim that all traditions define them identically.

Durmuhurta uses weekday fifteenths of daylight; Tuesday also includes the seventh fifteenth of the night. Bhadra is the full Vishti Karana interval, without residence, face or tail subdivisions. Choghadiya divides day and night into eight parts each; Hora into twelve each. This daily Hora convention does not alter Kundali’s existing Hora calculation. Amrit in Choghadiya is a traditional slot name, not Nakshatra-based Amrit Kaal.
